 "The wearing of personalised name badges was pioneered by fast food chains in the USA. The demand was quickly recognised by Dick Ferguson who founded Badgeman (now Recognition Express) in California during 1972. In the late 1970s many of these fast food chains opened up in the UK and found that the name badge service they had come to rely on did not exist over here.
Thus in 1979 Recognition Express, then still trading as Badgeman, came to Britain. A highly selective and progressive programme of expansion has resulted in 27 production and service centres across 10 European Countries - Ireland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the UK. The product range has been further developed to include high quality Promotional Product range, Custom signage creation and an Inspire & Inspirit Recognition Awards Programme. Recognition Express saw its opportunity to introduce complementary recognition items to expand the service it offered its customers.
